And you thought Red Lobster was all about a family friendly dining environment, bottomless Diet Cokes and something called a “Lobsterita”. Nay – a beast lies behind every biscuit, and sometimes, your white whale will come looking for you, even if it is during the sacred observance of Lobsterfest. Fisherman’s Feast yar eyes!

Holy crap this was awesome!
-
That was one of the best videos on the internet, easily.
-
I think I peed my pants just a little bit.

I assume this was shot fairly late in the evening, near closing time? If so, nice bit of planning, else you’d increase the risk of some yahoo or kids ruining the shots by “getting involved.”
Worked out perfectly. I’m kinda surprised the wait staff didn’t react to the cameras sitting on the tables. I always get a big wigged out whenever I see someone pointing one my way, including phones. I guess the freak in the raincoat distracted them enough! :)
Great video. Really loved it!
Did the deep bass sound of approaching doom get edited in, or did you have a car out front with a couple-hundred watt sub-woofer booming away?! :)

hey when are you doing this next? I will be there. Sh!t I’d even pay to watch this. Hit me back.
-
What location was this? It looks familiar, even for a franchise.. hilarious!

It was actually shot around 8 or 9pm to take into consideration the however slight possibility they would serve us afterwards (which they did). The place was probably around half capacity so there was indeed a very captive audience. I was later told by one of the staff that up until the Kraken they just thought I was insane. So I presume no one messed with me or got in my way because they thought I was INSANE.
Cameraman #1 Dave handled the camera on the table situation quite ingeniously by telling them it was off and that he was waiting to meet up with the person he had sold it to online. Cameraman #2 Kris simply used a point and shoot digital still camera capturing video so it was pretty inconspicuous.
The moment they finally decided to do something about the cameras can be seen at the very end of the video where it ends as a still frame quite abruptly. If the camera had rolled a few seconds longer it would have caught the end of the scene where I stood up from my boys and asked the server in character for “A table for 6 please.” The response was stunned silence.
Oh well, next time MORE CAMERAS

Really great work. Absolutely hilarious and very well thought out !!! This one is sure to become a classic.
Was it shot in Toronto?

I swear to god! That is fucking brilliant. Me and my friends were talkin about it and we all said that this is the exact thing we would talk about doing and NEVER do! Bravo! I was laughin so GOD DAMN hard my eyes watered!!! In this new period in time when people shit out horrid reality shit all over youtube stuff like this gives value when people actually use it to their benefit. I really can’t say enough awesome shit! BRAVO!!!!

Wow. Nothing else to say but wow.
Did you guys build that Kraken costume just for this video, or was it something you had lying around for another reason?
-
We actually built the kraken over about three weekends with stuff we bought from fabricland and home depot for this exact purpose. At one point my father walked in on us building it with a beer in his hand. He locked eyes with us. We looked back at him. Then he left the room. I’m pretty sure that answers your question.

sweetness!
I worked at Red Lobster (Fargo ND USA) while in college. To be there would have been epic…. ARGHHHHH those cursed biscuits.
Did you receive much feed back from anyone else while there? I am curious what others who witnessed the shenanigans had to say. I hope they find this video as words will never describe the awesomeness they try to portray! Thanks for the entertainment!
