Some wounds heal easier than others. It was easy to say goodbye to someone like Dennis Hopper. But forgetting all the great memories Swap Shop afforded us was a little tougher. We even tried to launch a campaign to bring it back, but alas… you know, the suits. But je me souviens - I me remember. One year after Swap Shop took its last call, we decided to put together a humble compilation for those who may have missed the magic. Amanda, Laura… thanks for picking up.

It once tried to find a loving home for 1500 Pogs, a haunted statuette, and a totally fixable vase. And now, it has no home. It is our sad duty to inform you that public access mainstay Swap Shop has been cancelled. Much like series like Freaks and Geeks and Andy Richter Controls the Universe that were axed before they could hit their full creative stride, Swap Shop has been victimized by a public that simply “didn’t get” it. In its timeslot now stands The 100 Best Movies You’ve Never Seen. Feast, you cultureless boors.

But all may not be lost. I bet we can save Swap Shop. If you enjoy the show, the antics of First Time Caller, or simply have a weight set that you probably aren’t going to be able to unload otherwise, then contact the station and let them know that you need your Amanda and Laura fix. We now return to your regularly-scheduled evil.
